Prima is an award-winning, multi-site cheese processing company with a proud 29-year heritage and an ambitious future. Operating globally across B2B markets, we’re known for quality, consistency, and strong partnerships. Just as importantly, we’re proud of a people-first culture built on respect, teamwork, and integrity.
Events are central to how we tell our story — from international exhibitions and UK trade days to internal celebrations that bring our culture to life. This role puts you right at the centre of that activity.
The Role
If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love seeing plans come to life and want a role where no two weeks look the same, this could be the opportunity for you.
Prima is growing, our events calendar is expanding, and we’re looking for an Events Coordinator to help deliver impactful UK and international events that showcase our brand, connect with customers, and bring our people together.
You will play a key part in delivering a wide variety of engaging events, including:
- International Exhibitions – representing Prima on a global stage.
- UK Trade Days – building relationships and driving engagement.
- Internal Company Events – celebrating our people and culture.
- Partnership Events – collaborating with external organisations.
- Hosting & Site Visits – creating great experiences for customers and partners.
This is a hands-on role where you will see your work come to life — from coordination and logistics through to on-the-day delivery and post-event follow-up.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating busy event calendars and timelines across multiple projects.
- Organising venues, travel, accommodation, catering and logistics.
- Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and People & Culture.
- Managing suppliers and ensuring events reflect Prima’s brand and standards.
- Supporting on-site delivery, set-up, and breakdown.
- Capturing leads, feedback and insights and producing clear, actionable reports.
- Helping build strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
About You
You’re organised, proactive and take pride in the detail, but also enjoy the buzz of event delivery and problem-solving. You show initiative, take ownership and are comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with others. You naturally align with Prima’s values — professional, approachable, and collaborative — and take pride in representing a brand where people, relationships and quality genuinely matter.
You’ll ideally have:
• An Event Management qualification (e.g. Level 3–5 Diploma or Degree in Event Management).
• Proven experience in event management, trade shows, or a related coordination-focused role, with hands-on involvement in live event delivery.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Confidence dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• The ability to stay calm, flexible, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, Teams, and CRM systems (Salesforce desirable).
Why Join Prima?
• Be involved in high-profile UK and international events.
• Work closely with a supportive, collaborative team.
• Gain exposure across Sales, Marketing and Operations.
• Play a visible role in promoting Prima’s brand, culture, and growth.
• Build your career in a business that genuinely invests in its people.
Supportive Environment
Our people are key to our success. We’re committed to providing a supportive, inclusive environment and a structured internal training programme to develop knowledge of our business, products, customers, and systems.
Prima is an inclusive and diverse workplace. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please contact peopleandculture@primacheese.com.
Include a short cover letter with your application explaining why this Events Coordinator role at Prima appeals to you, along with examples of events you have supported or delivered and your involvement in coordination and on the day delivery.
Closing date 9th January 2025
