Maintenance Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our Engineering Department. Working alongside a small team and reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following in your day to day role:

· Pre-planned maintenance on our five production lines

· Reacting to and resolving breakdowns and issues in the production area

· Carrying out maintenance tasks identified during the fabrication audits

· Liaising with other departments to resolve any maintenance issues


· Must have a minimum of a HNC in a relevant discipline

· Preferably have a minimum of 2 years experience within the food industry

· Preferably multi skilled with an electrical bias but also capable of mechanical repair and maintenance

· Good knowledge of control systems and inverters

· Experience of installation of equipment

Person Specification:

· Self-Motivated

· Flexible

· Trustworthy

· Reliable

· Ability to work with little or no supervision

Additional Information:

· Salary- Approximately £25,000 per annum dependant on experience

· You will rotate between day, back and night shift

· An 8% night shift allowance will be paid for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am.

Financial Controller Assistant

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company looking for an experienced Assistant Financial controller to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

  • Signing off invoices
  • Supplier payments
  • Authorising payments
  • FOREX revaluation
  • VAT return by 21st of each month for month before
  • Intrastat and EC Sales
  • Assisting the FC with management accounts
  • Assisting with stock takes and the calculation of stock value on a monthly basis
  • Assisting the FC with audits
  • Negotiating HP agreements and operating leases
  • Resolving insurance queries
  • Resolving credit insurance queries
  • Assisting exports in credit insurance
  • Negotiating renewal contracts
  • Assisting other departments with financial queries
  • Liaising and assisting with any queries raised by the SIPP
  • Production of draft management accounts by 21st of each month
  • Production of invoice finance reconciliation for Finance Controller
  • Dealing with the Company Directors personal finances and queries
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the FC or Directors

Person Specification

The right candidate will have the following experience/attributes:

  • CIMA/ ACCA part qualified/ finalist
  • Analytical and detail orientated
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Strong excel skills

  • Good communication skills
