FINANCIAL CONTROL ASSISTANT

Financial Controller Assistant

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company looking for an experienced Assistant Financial controller to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

  • Signing off invoices
  • Supplier payments
  • Authorising payments
  • FOREX revaluation
  • VAT return by 21st of each month for month before
  • Intrastat and EC Sales
  • Assisting the FC with management accounts
  • Assisting with stock takes and the calculation of stock value on a monthly basis
  • Assisting the FC with audits
  • Negotiating HP agreements and operating leases
  • Resolving insurance queries
  • Resolving credit insurance queries
  • Assisting exports in credit insurance
  • Negotiating renewal contracts
  • Assisting other departments with financial queries
  • Liaising and assisting with any queries raised by the SIPP
  • Production of draft management accounts by 21st of each month
  • Production of invoice finance reconciliation for Finance Controller
  • Dealing with the Company Directors personal finances and queries
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the FC or Directors

Person Specification

The right candidate will have the following experience/attributes:

  • CIMA/ ACCA part qualified/ finalist
  • Analytical and detail orientated
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Strong excel skills
  • Team Player

Sales Account Manager

Job Description

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team.

This position is to cover the South of England therefore, we are looking for a candidate who is based in this area.

You will be required to attend head office based in Seaham, County Durham approximately once a month.

Reporting into the company directors you will be responsible for the following:

  • Generating and Prospecting for new business
  • Using your existing network of industry contacts to generate new business
  • Attending client meetings and delivering sales presentations
  • Achieving sales targets
  • Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
  • Developing strong working business relationships and understanding businesses to increase sales
  • Admin work where required

The right candidate will have the following experience/attributes

  • Experience in sales within the food industry is essential
  • Must demonstrate a motivated and enthusiastic attitude to generate new business

IT TECHNICIAN

IT TECHNICIAN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our IT team, working alongside an established team and reporting into the IT Manager you will be responsible for the following in your day to day role:

 

Key Duties

 

  • Create bespoke IT solutions to staff issues and queries using Excel, Access and other software’s available.
  • Handling day to day queries from staff via our helpdesk system.
  • Installing and configuring hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Monitoring and maintaining and installing computer systems and networks.
  • Liaising with clients to create food labels to meet clients need, working in other languages whilst also meeting regulations for UK and other countries.
    • High attention to detail required.
  • Assist with basic graphic design demands
  • Work with production team to solve any IT issues that may arise.
    • Working in Food safe high care environment

 

Required Skills and Experience

 

  • Minimum 2 Years working in an office environment (preferably IT)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the following is essential: –
    • Microsoft Server 2008 – 2016
      • Creating / Managing user profiles
      • Domains / DNS
      • GPO
    • Microsoft Excel
    • VBA
    • Microsoft Access
  • Experience with Access forms / reports / queries is essential
  • Experience with Sage200 is an advantage
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Photoshop, CorelDraw is an advantage

 

Required Education and Other Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above (including Maths and English)
  • BSc IT/Computer Science
  • Excellent levels of spoken and written English
  • The ability to communicate and interpret issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and proactive

QA TECHNICIAN

QA TECHNICIAN

Job Description

 

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be working as a technician within the busy quality department of a leading food manufacturer.

You must be flexible with regards to hours as you will be required to work a mixture of mornings (6am – 2pm), lates (2pm – 10pm) and nights (10pm – 6am) following a three week shift pattern.

Previous experience within a similar position would be advantageous.

You must also be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. An eye for detail is also a must.

  • Temperature Checks
  • Knife Control
  • Hygiene & Housekeeping Audit
  • Cook Testing
  • Plaster Control
  • General Policing of High Care
  • Overall Control for Agency Staff
  • Traceability Support

  • Daily Calibrations

This is an hourly paid position.
