Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our Engineering Department. Working alongside a small team and reporting into the Engineering supervisor, you will be responsible for the following in your day to day role:

  • Pre-planned maintenance on our four production lines
  • Reacting to and resolving breakdowns and issues in the production area
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks identified during the fabrication audits
  • Liaising with other departments to resolve any maintenance issues


  • Must have a minimum of a HNC in a relevant discipline
  • Preferably have a minimum of 2 years experience within the food industry
  • Preferably multi skilled with an electrical bias but also capable of mechanical repair and maintenance
  • Good knowledge of control systems and inverters
  • Experience of installation of equipment

Prima Cheese Ltd is a AA BRC rated food processing company based in County Durham. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join the team. Reporting into the Company Directors you will be responsible for monitoring and documenting Prima Cheese Ltd’s Food and Safety Programmes, ensuring adherence to all quality, food safety and sanitation guidelines related to the processing of the company’s products. Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading internal and external audits
  • Investigating and responding to customer complaints
  • Taking the lead on investigations into key deviations from process and customer specification, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to bring the process back under control.
  • General Maintenance of Food Safety Management Systems
  • Leading the HACCP and TACCP teams

Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Route planning and producing customer invoices/delivery notes
