Prima Cheese is a multi-award-winning cheese processing company with a 28-year heritage. It is a family-owned business, employing nearly 200 people and operates only within B2B markets where it has gained a reputation for quality, consistency and service. It is one of the biggest cheese suppliers of foodservice and food manufacturing within the UK and export their product to over 55 countries worldwide. With both domestic and international business, Prima continues to grow and is looking to expand the team.
The role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced mid-weight Graphic Designer to join our fast-growing marketing department based in London. The Graphic Designer will be solely responsible for all graphics and visuals across the business. You will be producing design for both print and digital usage for a B2B audience, with the view of driving creative excellence in everything you do.
As we enter a new and pivotal phase in Prima’s long history, this is a very exciting role for the right person to come into the business and transform how we do things from a creative lens.
We are looking for someone who is highly creative with a strong eye for detail, able to think outside the box and bring a fresh perspective to the brand – but we are also looking for someone who is able to work on multiple projects at once with finesse. As well as a keen understanding of how to leverage their creativity in a commercial business to drive results and maintain consistent and cohesive brand communications across the board.
Collateral and art working – you will be responsible for the day-to-day output from the marketing team. Supporting the 14 departments within Prima with their internal collateral needs from posters and signage to company decks. You will also be required to produce external facing collateral, working closely with the Brand and Marketing Coordinator to deliver on collateral which will range from digital graphics for web content and email marketing, to printed sales materials and branded merch.
Product – as a pioneer within the dairy industry with several different brands in our arsenal, product development is a big part of the marketing output. As the Graphic Designer, you will use your considerable creative skill to produce enticing product labels and packaging that will ensure Prima stands out from the crowd. You will also collaborate with our Quality, Export and Production teams to ensure that what we produce is fit for purpose and compliant with regulations in the desired markets.
Projects – you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver various brand-level projects, one of which being a full rebrand which will give you the exciting opportunity to look at how we do things now, and completely reimagine it in-line with our upcoming new look and feel. You will also collaborate with the Events and Communications Coordinator to bring our branding to life for a whole host of events from international trade shows to customer trade days and everything in-between.
Photography and Video – as a brand guardian, you will have full overview of our photography and video library. Though you will not be required to produce this content, you will be the point person for the library and will have great understanding of how to how to leverage this content for your projects and will be comfortable in identifying gaps.
Requirements
- You will need to be able to use Adobe Suite to an advanced level, particularly: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. After Effects and Premier would be a bonus!
- You will need to be able to interpret briefs, develop creative ideas and concepts and bring them to life as well as be able to confidently present them
- You will need to have proven graphic design and illustrative skills with great understanding of key design principles, artworking and motion graphics. 3D rendering would be a huge bonus
- You will need to have great understanding of print and production – how your designs will translate into real life productions and how to communicate with printers
- You will need to have visibility of your workload and meet deadlines
- Proactive, and able communicate effectively with other departments across the business at all levels
- Must be creative with the ability to bring new ideas to the table
- Be reliable and accountable for your role
- A love for cheese would also be handy!
